Chemical dosing systems, plastic welding, and instrumentation tube installation to ensure 100% fossil-free heat production at Esbjerg port.

DIN Forsyning has selected us to perform certified plastic welding, design, construction, and installation of chemical dosing systems as well as the assembly of instrumentation tubes in connection with the establishment of a new heat production plant at Esbjerg port.

A wide array of our specialists have been involved in delivering this project for DIN FORSYNING. Our engineers have designed and developed chemical dosing systems focused on operational reliability and traceability as the highest priorities.

Our specially trained technicians have not only built and installed the chemical dosing units but also carried out certified plastic welding using advanced welding technology for double-layered plastic pipes and played a crucial role in installing hundreds of meters of instrumentation tubes.

We were chosen for the task based on our certification in plastic welding, quality assembly of instrumentation tubes, and decades of experience in developing safe chemical dosing units.

Our deliverables consisted of:

  • Certified plastic welding: Ensuring high chemical resistance, temperature tolerance, and full traceability, ideal for water supply and gas distribution projects.
  • Advanced welding of double-walled plastic pipes: With full traceability. Design, construction, and system integration of chemical dosing pump units: For both lye and sulfuric acid, ensuring stable and safe operation.
  • Instrumentation tube installation: Guaranteeing seamless integration into the existing infrastructure.
  • On-site job execution: Ensuring efficient implementation with minimal disruption.

About the facility:

About the Facility DIN FORSYNING’s new heat production facility aims to transform the heat supply in Varde and Esbjerg, ensuring that both cities achieve fossil-free heat production.

The heat production plant has been underway since the decision was made to shut down the Esbjerg power plant.

Thomas Gliese, Head of SYSTEMS at HYTOR, stated:

"One of the major focal points of this project has been our ability to act as a system integrator for DIN FORSYNING, and this has been crucial in securing this task for us." He continued, "This highlights our diversity in handling such complex assignments, where we design a solution, construct it, and ensure installation and integration with other processes in a complex facility like DIN FORSYNING’s heat production system."

The collaboration with DIN FORSYNING has primarily been carried out through project consultants assigned specifically to the task.

Dennis B. Jørgensen commented,

“We have consistently had HYTOR’s specialists on site during nearly the entire construction period of DIN FORSYNING’s facility. We are very satisfied with the execution of the work that has been done and greatly appreciate the flexibility shown by both HYTOR and the technicians involved throughout the project period.”
