Our generator played
a crucial role in the relocation process
It has been almost a year since the Rubjerg Knude Lighthouse was moved 70 meters further away from the sea. The lighthouse was soon to collapse into the sea as the sea cliff came increasingly closer. Our generators can be used for many diverse tasks, which means we don't set the limit for what our products can be used for. Our generators can be employed individually or collectively for smaller and larger projects. Our generators exhibit flexibility in the sense that they can be applied in various industries.
Therefore, we are ready to embark on innovative, stimulating, and challenging projects. We are ready to assist you, regardless of the task at hand. Rubjerg Knude Lighthouse is a significant tourist attraction with 250,000 visitors annually. The lighthouse is located in North Jutland, specifically at Lønstrup. Consequently, saving the lighthouse was crucial for the area.
Local bricklayer Kjeld Pedersen executed the task splendidly. The plan was to move the lighthouse 80 meters, but that proved impossible due to a huge sand dune. They also were worried about the entrance to the lighthouse being covered in sand; however, due to the dune, this should not pose a problem. When the lighthouse construction commenced in 1899, it was 200 meters from the water. There also wasn't sand everywhere, as we see today.
This truly embodies the power of the wind and how it can shape the landscape. If you recently saw TV2's broadcast "When Kjeld Moved the Lighthouse," currently available on TV2Play, you probably noticed one of our generators closely following the lighthouse. HYTOR's generator was featured on TV on several occasions. The entire process went as planned, and the lighthouse was saved for the time being.
It is already known that the lighthouse will have to be moved again at a later point, perhaps sooner than expected.
